At every stage of their lives, dogs need proper nutrition. Elderly and ageing dogs have special nutritional needs and that is why it is very important to provide them with a diet which contains nutrients in the most digestible form. The special needs of older dogs are provided by PIPER ANIMALS SENIOR foods. When preparing its composition, we took into account their lower rate of digestive and metabolic processes, bearing in mind their decreased need for proteins, mine-rals and fats, as well as increased demand for vitamins and some polyunsaturated fatty acids. PIPER ANIMALS SENIOR foods also include linseed oil, which guarantees maintenance of unsatu-rated fatty acids from the n-3 and n-6 groups at an appropriate level. This, in turn, contributes to the regulation of metabolic processes and maintenance of an adult dog’s skin in good condition, while also ensuring proper mineralisation of bones and correct course of all metabolic processes. This food does not include flavour enhancers, substances stimulating the appetite, preservatives, or colourants. The specific form of processing guarantees high digestibility of all the nutrients.
