Salmon for The OMEGA 3 OIL is farmed off the west coast of Norway and not in the Baltic Sea, where high levels of PCB and dioxin in salmon in particular have been reported more than once. The salmon from which we obtain our oil is fit for human consumption and therefore subject to official controls to check the feed the fish are given, and thus the substances they contain.
Samples are taken every quarter, and external analyses are carried out to check for dioxins and dioxin-like substances.
